Challenges come to everyone ;)

With State over, the boys prepared for Nike Pre-Nationals and Footlocker
Thomas wasn't himself, feeling really tired and not able to hit his times like usual but we blamed it on  stress, lack of sleep and not eating enough...
This is how the Varsity boys showed up to their team banquet...CLASSY!
Thomas received the Best Sophomore award...well deserved I must say
On to Nike Pre-Nationals in ARIZONA!
The boys had a little shake out run at Lake Powell
Enjoying the sweet hats they all got!

There was a dinner the night before with Olympian Bernard Lagat as the keynote speaker!
Thomas started out well but about 1/2 way through started to feel exhausted. He gave it all he had but   he just didn't have it in him.
We knew something wasn't right...What was it? It must be iron...it couldn't be mono right?!

WRONG! Mono it is! This answers why he struggled so much during his last few races...It is still frustrating but we are confident he will bounce back quick! We have him taking lots of herbs and vitamins. He will be back to his old self in no time!
It was so fun to have my Uncle Tony, Aunt Ginger, Monica and Wade there to cheer for our Tommy Boy!
We are so proud of the way Thomas pushes himself to be his very best. He never gives up! He may not have asked for this challenge but he will face it head on...He's a fighter!
Wade and Monica let us stay at their house.
Chilin' in the hot tub was a great way to spend the last night before coming back to the cold ;)

Halloween!

Emily is the only one who dressed up this year...
Our Phoenix
She made her costume all by herself and it turned out amazing!

Way to show your creativity Em!!
