Jac ran the mile and the 800

We didn't get to see the mile but Jac did great with a 5:22

She was mad at herself because she lost her focus on the middle laps. She knew she could have done better if she had stayed focused.

SO, she was determined to STAY FOCUSED during the 800!

She didn't have the best starting position and had to fight her way around the group of girls but she was STRONG!

 This is the final stretch...there was no way she was going to let the girl behind her pass!

 It's amazing what keeping focussed does...

Jac finished with a 2:25 taking:
 2nd place overall!

Jac decided to run for Jr. Class President

 She came up with this darling slogan!

she handed these out to the kids each day...

Even though she didn't win; she had a great time running.

Way to put yourself out there Jac!

 Thomas shot out and held a strong lead

 He finished with a 2:22! 

We love to cheer for Thomas!

Especially in good weather like this! 

Thomas was really looking forward to the mile

1st goal: break the school record of 5:36

2nd goal: break 5:00

They ran all the grades together and it was hard to get around everyone but Thomas did amazing!

Presidents Cup

 Thomas' team played in Mesquite over Presidents day

They played hard, tied 2 games and won the 3rd game 13-0!

Simplot Games 2012

Summer Harper, Jac, and Candace Greenwood

 Pocatello Idaho; home to the Simplot Games...Known for the fastest track in the northern states. This wooden track is only 200 meters (meaning 16 times around for the 2 mile!) with banked sides.
Jac was so excited to see what time she could get until...

She got SICK! 
Yes, very sick in fact; but if you know Jac and her positive attitude, she pushed through.
It wasn't her best time; not by a long shot BUT she still qualified for the finals on Thursday and then finished in 8th place on Saturday.
Races like this are great learning experiences :)
Jac realized that she was still faster sick than her best time last year! Pretty impressive I must say! We are so  proud of her!!!!! (is that enough exclamation points?)

It's never fun to be down but it definitely helps you appreciate the up times :)

Emily and Jac made this AMAZING Rupunzel Tower Valentine's Day box... WOW! Is all I can say :)

And the "Best of the Best" first place prize went to...EMILY!

Valentines was full of hearts...even in Emily's hair :)

The kids had to fend for themselves this year...Matt took me on a DATE! Sorry kids :)
