CALIFORNIA

How was our trip?
I think this picture pretty much says it all...

We love it when Jac has races in warm places :)

This is what we saw on our morning run!
Peacocks had free rein in this neighborhood!

We enjoyed visiting the Los Angeles temple
The visitors center has a clean water display with a water jug Matt brought all the way back from Africa.

We stayed in the lovely Motel 6... who can beat $60.00 a night?
The one in Arcadia was older and very stinky! It was a challenge to appreciate! Emily didn't want to touch anything! We even brought our car fresheners in to help calm the smell of cigarettes. (in our non-smoking room!)
By the time we got to the Newport Motel 6 we were in HEAVEN! It was much nicer and cleaner. The kids kept saying "It smells so good!"

Bonelli Park...another favorite running spot!

Newport Temple

Happy Easter!
The kids had an egg hunt on the beach...yes, they humored good ol' mom and actually survived the embarrassment :) (anything for money!)

We walked around and enjoyed watching the seals and dolphins

Monday and Tuesday were spent enjoying running on the beach and enjoying the sunshine!
It's official...Thomas has MAN HAIR!
Congrats :)

Jac took these AMAZING pictures of the sunset!
These have NOT been altered by photoshop! :)

Emily was in heaven!

Even push-ups are funner on the beach!
 PURE AWESOMENESS!

Some favorite quotes:

"THAT IS SO DISTURBING" Emily

"Hey, CHANCHO" Thomas

"Hope ya feeling good to your knuckle bones" Crazy man on the street

"Oh look at the baby cows in their NATURAL HABITAT!" Jac

This looks like such an amazing trip! Yeah for the Heaps family.

The top picture is still my favorite.

My girls would have loved to have played with Emily on the beach.

Great photography! I especially like the sunset beach picture with the birds. Amazing...

What to say first?! The first family pic is my favorite EVER. Definitely perfect for a wall pic and a Christmas card. Your family pic further down is wall worthy too...did you just set the camera on a tripod?! Your photography is awesome! Trisha wants to learn. She'll have to get tips from you. Actually, how about a FHE with photography tips?

I love that your able to make running a family event. It's such a blessing to have something you all enjoy. I'm laughing about your stinky hotel!

These are the greatest pictures ever! you guys are better then the pros, you couldn't have paid anybody to capture anywhere close to what you did, the family all look so great. You are all amazing little models that belong in a magazine, I'm sure California would buy them to advertise their tourism. More More More
