Bitter Sweet...

It's hard to think that this is the last time this group will run together as a team

(Senior years make parents more sappy)

 

Jac wasn't feeling well, she tried to ignore it but knew the tiredness over the last few days was mono flaring again. 

Jac ran for her team...they needed her to get to STATE.
Even though it was hard to watch her slip further back with each turn, we were so proud of her determination to do all she could

My heart was so touched as I saw these pictures...all the support and love everyone has for Jac
She came in 13th, helping her team take 3rd place! I was standing by some kids on another team as they were talking about Jackie saying, "Jackie has mono and I STILL can't keep up with her!" It made me smile ;)

She has decided not to run at STATE....it's time to get her body healthy, It's time for a break.
We are praying it will make all the difference!

It's hard to imagine that Thomas' first official high school XC season is over too!!
He has had such a great experience and kept improving with each race!

It has been SO FUN having Jac and Thomas run together. What great memories!
