This Memorial Day was special
We took some time to reflect on WHY we have Memorial Day...

We spent the afternoon visiting Grandpa Don and thanking him for his service in World War II. He told us stories of flying in planes just like the one pictured below. How tender these memories are...

  

Grandpa has always had a soft spot for Thomas. He gave him his flight suit a few years ago and he is looking forward to giving Thomas his wings when he receives his Eagle.
As we were about to leave Grandpa started to cry. He told us that when he dies there will be a flag presented at the grave site. He wants Thomas to have it.
What an honor....What a sweet, good, kind and wonderful man.
