Matt's Sierra Leone Trip in January

Matt's friend, Howard Collett, took these AMAZING photos of his trip in January. We have over 400 so here are just a few of my favorites. It was hard to choose! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
This is a common sight about 6:00 am and again around 4:00 pm

This man is digging a 30 ft. well one BUCKET at a time

Immunizations are one of the services the church provides

These ladies are teaching the importance of good hygiene with music!

Here are some pictures of men working on building and repairing wheelchairs.

The mother allowed the film crew to film her sweet baby being born. Matt was just outside the curtain and was amazed with how calm the mother was with NO pain meds!
These people are taking care of a loved one who is outside the hospital because there is no room for him inside.
The operating room
The nurses and doctors clean the plastic disposable gloves! They told Matt they only reuse them to clean things but it seemed questionable.
No privacy here! Come to think of it, no TV, no room service... Wow are we spoiled!
The hospital
This is a nurse who is a member of the LDS church. She was given a package from the Humanitarian center. She showed Matt her blanket which is so dear to her heart and kept her warm during many times of hiding.

All these kids ran to greet the men as they were coming in by canoe.

This man was amazing! He climbed this tree to get some fruit for Matt and the others.
This bridge is made completely of reeds from the jungle!

This is how they dig the wells.

Matt LOVES visiting and teaching these beautiful people!
Are these kids adorable or what?!

These woman are taking care of their community garden.
This is a common gardening tool.

THESE PICTURES are amazing, what a neat experience for Matt, the children are so cute, you just want to hug them, here I take a bath first then a shower, maybe I am wasting some water, but I do appreciate it, hopefully that helps. We are so blessed even in these hard times, we have soooo much! Thanks for sharing the pictures are really amazing!!
