Our No Prednisone Celebration!

We celebrated as a family by going to Emily's favorite little bakery, Dippidee. She was so excited to actually be able to eat one of her favorite treats! We even put a candle in her sugar cookie.

I had to laugh because she kept asking if she had to eat the whole thing...like I would ever "make" her eat all of her treat!

Emily's next big challenge is to keep doing well even off the Prednisone. Everyone keep thinking positive thoughts! Oh yea, and a prayer or two wouldn't hurt either! Ha Ha!

Thank you everyone, for your love, prayers and numerous acts of service. I don't know how we could do it without you. We love you all so much!

Hip Hip Hooray! Yummy treats always make things so much better. I am so glad that Emily can get off her prednisone and start to feel like herself. (That stuff makes you CRAZY!) We will keep her in our prayers.... Yeah, for Emily!

Congratulations to Emily! I remember well when Ryan came off of Prednisone.

This is a great milestone. Of course there are risks, but just remember that now that she has tapered off of prednisone, her immune system will be able to start working a little more.

Each day is another milestone. It is wonderful to see that she hasn't had GVHD problems. That is a good sign, especially being weened off of her steroid.

Congratulations Emily and to the Heaps family. You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
