Last day of ATG!

Emily amazed all of us today! She was given all the same meds before she got the ATG like yesterday but she was totally awake (and a little ornery) the entire time! I asked the nurse if this was normal to react so differently and she looked at me and said "Emily is not normal!" We had a good laugh. She kept asking for foods that she normally likes and after one bite would say "This doesn't taste good" she wanted M&Ms and when she ate one she wouldn't believe they were chocolate; she was positive they were peanut butter M&Ms. Her taste buds are definitely being affected!
Emily got to play with Jac and Thomas this afternoon thanks to the Heather Austin! Sammy and Adrianna came up to say hi before rushing home. Jac had to have some blood work done. One of the tests was to make sure she isn't pregnant. (I can't wait to get the results!) Ha Ha. Grandpa whiting came up and Mary Whitaker also came to play! She is always grateful for visitors.
Matt is spending the night tonight while I came home for "Back to school night" with Thomas and Jacqueline. We had fun shopping for school supplies.
Matt said that Emily was dancing and singing all night! We are so blessed--She is really being watched over! Well, tomorrows the big day!!! Wish us luck!

I am praying for you all and can't believe that this is all happening again in a few hours! Stay strong!
So proud of all of you and that you are all able to help Emily and be there for her every step of the way! Are they having another bone marrow birthday for her tommorrow?
Love you!

I am so happy that Emily rocked her last day of ATG, I feel like eating rabbit stew to celebrate. And tell her that Uncle Jeremy would have been thrilled to taste peanut butter m&ms when it was only boring old milk chocolate (perhaps another little blessing in disguise?) It is going to be very hard to wheel around teaching my last day of preschool summer camp today because my fingers will be crossed the entire time and my heart and brain are right there with Emily and Jacqueline! Only Thomas singing "That's Amore" can fully capture how much love I feel for you!

We are so glad that you put this blog together so that we could see the progress of Emily! We are amazed at how well she has done so far. We felt so bad when she was so sick. We have wanted to come up so that we could see Emily, especially Anna, but Amy has been sick. Anna has a card for Emily so we will have to get up there after she has been recuperating for a while. Good luck today! Our prayers are with Jacqueline and Emily. We hope that all goes well.
